William D. Pelino

William Pelino (Bill) serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CarePoint Health.  Bill brings nearly 30 years of finance experience to CarePoint Health, with 12 years of focused health care experience.  He has extensive experience leading teams in financial turnarounds, identifying revenue opportunities, and improving financial reporting, treasury functions, and decision support.

Throughout his career in highly visible and critical financial leadership positions, William’s distinct and refined understanding of finance combined with his dynamic leadership skills and detailed approach to managing and reconfiguring critical financial processes has led to repeated success and demonstrated value.

Bill was most recently Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association in Rochester, New York where he led organizational change within two distinct organizations to improve the quality of patient care resulting in reduced cost, while maintaining a partnership between physicians and health system.  Under Bill’s leadership, the population health program grew to nearly 300,000 lives varying from risk and shared savings to quality reporting programs.

Previously, Bill served in various Finance roles at Paychex, Inc. including leading the Finance team of the Human Resource Services organization.  While at Paychex, Bill also served as the Director of Internal Audit, where he significantly reduced the time required for quarterly forecasting and completely revised the internal monthly reporting process to the CEO and other officers to better show performance and identify opportunities and challenges.

As recently as 2017, William was named Financial Executive of the Year, awarded by the Rochester Business Journal and Financial Executives International. William was also named a ‘Forty Under 40’ Award Recipient, which recognizes significant professional and community service achievements by Rochester leaders. Selected from among 250 qualified candidates for continuing to advance a career while dedicating time to leadership roles in community activities.
