ABOUT Vidali, Andrea MD
Dr. Vidali is a reproductive surgeon. His special expertise lies in complex reproductive surgeries, with principal focus on fertility enhancement and preservation. Such surgeries include robotic myomectomies, endometriosis surgery, uterine septum resections and revision of cesarean section scars as well as complex hysteroscopic procedures.
Dr. Vidali’s main interest is diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis focused on pain, infertility and pregnancy loss. It is important to note that Dr. Vidali is one of the few nationally recognized endometriosis specialists with expertise and training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Reproductive Immunology.
After completing his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Columbia University, Dr. Vidali collaborated and partnered with one of his mentors, the laparoscopic surgery pioneer, Harry Reich, MD. He then pioneered the introduction of laparoscopic myomectomy in infertility patients, helping to set a new standard for the treatment of women with fibroids who desire fertility. Dr. Vidali performed one of the first laparoscopic tubal ligation reversals in the world at Columbia University Medical Center in 1996.
Throughout his career, Dr. Vidali also has held leadership positions in the academic world: he was the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, and held two Directorships at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in New York City as Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and the Director of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
