I chose primary care because of its broad scope; I enjoy bringing the many aspects of medical management and education into an integrated whole. My role as a primary care physician is to communicate medical information to the patient, in order to maximize their overall health and better their lives. Patient education is a crucial aspect of this because 99% of health care takes place between doctor visits.
